  2. Day 2 - Monopoli

    Tracing its origins back to 545 AD, Monopoli is a melting pot of Byzantine, Venetian and Turkish influence. Its charming harbour is surrounded by medieval stone walls, while the Church of the Purgatory features a Baroque chapel of mummified citizens that passed on.

  3. Day 3 - Otranto

    Regarded as ‘the far east of Italy’, Otranto gazes out on to the Adriatic Sea and was a key port for trade and conquest during Roman times. Today, you’ll find a picturesque town of fortifications, mouthwatering seafood restaurants and a pleasant beach.

  4. Day 4 - Crotone

    At the very tip of Southern Italy is the Calabrian city of Crotone. Legend has it that it owes its name to Greek half-god Hercules, and there are Aegean influences at every turn, including the remnants of Apollo’s temple.

  7. Day 7 - Sorrento

    A quaint resort credited with inspiring the works of Charles Dickens and Leo Tolstoy, Sorrento provides a romantic introduction to the Amalfi Coast. The historic town has spectacular views over the Bay of Naples, and its maze of cobbled streets is punctuated with cosy cafes.

    After breakfast, you can explore Civitavecchia on your own, discovering further the Mediterranean splendour. In the afternoon, we’ll welcome back on board your Emerald Cruises luxury yacht for the second half of the journey.

  9. Day 9 - Bonifacio, Corsica, France

    The striking citadel heralds your introduction to Bonifacio. Established in 833 BC, this charming Corsican port provides stunning views from its ancient fortress that, on a clear day, stretch all the way to Sardinia.

  10. Day 10 - Alghero, Sardinia, Italy

    On the western coast of Northern Sardinia, Alghero stands out for its coves and small bays with white sandy beaches merging to a crystalline sea. The mild climate combined with the delicate aromas of the Mediterranean vegetation make this town one of the highlights of the journey.

  11. Day 11 - Mahón, Menorca, Spain

    The second-largest city of the Balearic Islands (and the capital of Menorca), Mahón, is yours to explore today. With a wealth of prehistoric structures that fuse with the cultural influence left by the 18th century British occupation, this tropical paradise will certainly leave you awed.

  12. Day 12 - Ibiza, Spain

    A delightful Mediterranean island, Ibiza has made a reputation for itself as a party destination. Beyond the festive façade though, one will encounter many little hidden gems, such as the laid-back hippy atmosphere of its street markets, the mesmerizing Dalt Vila, and natural beauty of the coastline.

  13. Day 13 - Cartagena, Spain

    Cartagena, in the Mediterranean's Costa Cálida, was considered to be one of the most important naval ports in Spain until the 18th century. This portside town has historically been inhabited by several cultures who have left their mark on its heritage. From its Roman Amphitheatre to the Torre Ciega, there is no shortage of sights to amaze you.

  14. Day 14 - Almeria, Spain

    Almeria is home of one of the best kept coastal secrets in Spain. This Andalusian town has spectacular and unspoilt beach stretches all along all its coastline. Particularly worth a visit is the Cabo de Gata Natural Park, where the virginal playas backing onto terrain studded with cacti, dunes, and mountains provide a unique atmosphere.

  15. Day 15 - Malaga, Spain

    Today you are docked in Malaga. Here you will find many impressive historic sights forming part of this beautiful city, including the Alcazaba which is one of the largest Arab fortresses in Andalusia, and Gibralfaro Castle, offering the best views over the city.

  16. Day 16 - Cádiz, Spain

    The Andalusian coastal town of Cádiz is your stop for the day. Often referred to as the ‘City of the Watchtowers’, Cádiz has been a prominent trading port for centuries. With a rich cultural, historical, and architectural heritage, the city is filled with landmarks, antique quarters and lush gardens that will capture all your senses.

  17. Day 17 - Portimão, Portugal

    Today we will foray into Portugal with a visit to beautiful Portimão. From its historic centre embellished by a distinctively Portuguese ambience to its plazas filled with open-air cafés, and to Praia da Rocha, there is something here for everyone.

  18. Day 18 - Lisbon, Portugal

    Your time aboard your Emerald Cruises luxury yacht comes to an end in Lisbon. After bidding farewell to the crew and your fellow guests, you will be transferred to the airport for your return flight home.
