Approximately 5km from Victoria, Sainte Anne Marine National Park is the oldest marine reserve in the Seychelles. Encompassing six islands, Sainte Anne is the largest and the perfect hideaway for those in search of a real-life island paradise. Dominated by a 246m mountain surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, it is a former World War Two Royal Marine base, now populated by five-star hotels.
The white sandy beaches of this stunning granitic island beckon to you to take some time out, while providing the perfect vantage point from which to spot bottlenose dolphins or hawksbill sea turtles as they come to nest. The surrounding channel is home to over 150 species of marine life and technicolour coral reefs, providing the most idyllic of spots for snorkelling and water sports. And, once you’ve worked up an appetite, the island’s restaurants offer diverse cuisine, from Creole barbecue to fresh seafood and grills with waterfront views.
